      Risks and Side Effects

      IUI has minimal risks, but there is a small chance of infection or multiple pregnancies if fertility drugs are used.

      The IUI procedure is generally safe, with few risks. However, when fertility drugs are used to stimulate ovulation, there is a higher risk of multiple pregnancies, which can increase the likelihood of complications. Your specialist will discuss these risks with you before the procedure.
