How does the embyo grading system work?

At Care Fertility, we have developed two grading systems. One for early stage embryos (day 2-3), and one for blastocysts (day 4-6). The early stage grading system scores embryos from 1 to 4 and is based on embryo fragmentation. Grade 1 and 2 are the best grades and have similar outcomes. Grade 3 is an average quality and grade 4 is a low quality early stage embryo. We make very few early stage assessments under our �do not disturb� practice, which aims to result in blastocyst transfer and avoids removing the embryos from the incubators. If we are not assessing your embryos at this early stage, we cannot provide a grading.
